Flipped Car on SR528

A car flipped on SR528 near SR407 this morning. An aerial photograph of the crash is below.

Considering that there is a guardrail on the far right side of the road and a paved shoulder, a likely cause of this accident was that the driver went off the roadway to the left into the grass and over-corrected. Making this maneuver at highway speed can easily flip a passenger car. The drop off at the edge of the pavement can be 6 or 8 inches or more in certain places. Drivers should be aware of this and avoid making a sudden correction back onto the roadway.
