From an image of this intersection on Google Maps, Sky Harbor Drive is a very small sidestreet with a traffic light. Based on where the motorcycle landed on the sidewalk to the Burger King, I have to assume based on circumstantial evidence that the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard. Speeds on this street can be 45-50 mph. If the van made a turn (particularly a right hand turn) in front of the motorcycle from Sky Harbor Drive (probably on a red light), then the van's negligence would be the cause of this collision and would be legally responsible for a wrongful death under Florida law.
