Rollover Car Accident

An elderly couple in a Hyundai SUV collided with another vehicle at an intersection and rolled over. They suffered minor injuries. The accident happened at an intersection in Clearwater, Florida on August 26, 2016. The other vehicle in the accident was a 1990's model Honda Accord. Crash photos are shown below.
This collision likely happened when one vehicle or the other ran a red light at this intersection. The front end damage to the sedan combined with the passenger's side damage to the Hyundai SUV tell us circumstantially that the Hyundai was hit going through the intersection. This could have happened as either vehicle ran the red light. Someone was right and someone was wrong in this accident.
In Florida, an accident caused by the failure to obey a traffic control signal such as a traffic light in violation of section 316.074, Florida Statutes constitutes negligence and is legally actionable. The responsible party is required to compensate the other for bodily injuries as well as property damage.
